The Great Refrigerator Roundup!

That old, inefficient second fridge of yours is wasting $120-$150 per year in electricity. Book an appointment today and we will come and pick it up for FREE – we’ll even haul it out of your basement for you and take care of it in an environmentally responsible manner. When we are finished recycling and reclaiming material, very little will be sent to the landfill!

Am I Eligible?

To qualify, you must have at least one appliance in the “primary appliance” category below. If you have at least one “primary appliance”, then we will also pick up window air conditioners and dehumidifiers.

Primary Appliance
Full-sized refrigerators and full-sized freezers must be:
• Between 10-27 cubic feet
• In working condition (plugged in 24 hours prior to pick-up)
• 15 years of age or older.

Secondary appliances
Window air conditioners and dehumidifiers must be:
• In working condition
• 10 years of age or older
• Window air conditioner must be removed from the window prior to pick up and placed near a power source.

Reminders
The fridge/freezer should be plugged in 24 hours before your pick up appointment so that we can verify that it is on working condition.
• Remove all food from the appliance and defrost the freezer.
• Drain the drop pan and disconnect all water lines from the unit prior to pickup.
• Ensure a clear pathway to the appliances being removed by clearing any furniture or storage items nearby.
• Remove or restrain any pets.
You will receive a confirmation number and you will receive a reminder one or two days prior to your pick up appointment.

Other Conditions
• Refrigerator using ammonia as the refrigerant is not eligible for pick up, due to the high cost to decommission these units. (Refrigerators using SO2as the refrigerant are eligible.)
