Dear St. Thomas Energy Inc. Customer,
This notice is to advise you that as of June 1, 2001 Ontario Power Generation (formerly Ontario Hydro) has increased the wholesale electricity charge by point 7 of a cent per kilowatt hour to all electricity distributors including St. Thomas Energy Inc. (formerly St. Thomas PUC)
This cost of power increase will be directly passed through to you the consumer with no benefit being realized by St. Thomas Energy Inc.. This straight pass through increase has been authorized by the Ontario Government. Monies generated by this increase will go towards the former Ontario Hydro's stranded debt.
This cost of power increase results in approximately a $5.15 per month increase to the average residential St. Thomas Energy Inc. customer.
